Certified organic
Grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers — better for the soil, the grower, and the cup you actually drink.
Our story
OTAN began with a simple frustration: so much tea is sold on packaging and promises, and so little on what's actually in the tin. We wanted the opposite — a small, deliberate range of organic teas, each one earning its place.
Why OTAN exists
The tea aisle is loud. Endless flavours, clever names, health claims stacked on health claims — and underneath it all, too often, dusty broken leaf and not much character. We found ourselves drinking less tea, not more, because so little of it felt worth the ritual.
So we started again from the cup. Instead of chasing a big catalogue, we set out to find a handful of genuinely good organic teas — ones with real provenance, real whole leaves and whole roots, and a real sense of what they do for you. If a tea didn't change how a quiet ten minutes felt, it didn't make the range.
That's the whole idea behind OTAN. Three signature teas and a few thoughtful sets, each carefully selected for its quality and its richness in beneficial properties. Not the most we could sell — the most we could stand behind.
Mind · Body · Spirit
We think about tea in three quiet registers — and the range is built around them. There's tea for the mind, tea for the body, and the spirit of the ritual that holds the two together.
We talk about wellbeing the honest way — as the traditional and associated uses these teas are loved for, never as medical advice. Read our wellness note.
Sourcing & quality
Every OTAN tea has to clear the same simple bar before it reaches you.
Grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers — better for the soil, the grower, and the cup you actually drink.
Never dust, never fillers. Whole leaves and roots hold their character — and re-steep beautifully.
Traceable to one source and sealed to keep it vivid — so the tea you open tastes the way it should.
Always vegan, and packed in recyclable, resealable tins that keep your tea fresh between cups.
A note from us
We're tea drinkers first. The version of OTAN we wanted to build is the one we'd want to buy from — short on hype, long on care, and honest about what a cup of tea can and can't do.
Keeping the range small is a deliberate choice. It means we can actually know each tea — where it comes from, how it's made, the best way to brew it — and pass that on to you with every order. It also means we can say no a lot, which is most of the work. If a tea isn't better than what we already carry, there's no reason for it to exist.
Thank you for letting our tea be part of your day. We don't take that lightly — and we'd genuinely love to hear how you brew yours.

What we stand for
A few teas, properly chosen, beat a wall of options every time. We'd rather carry less and mean it.
We share the traditional and associated uses our teas are loved for — clearly, and never as medical claims.
Tea is a pause, not just a drink. Everything we make is built to make that quiet moment a little better.
